Description

Full Body Contouring Surgery

Full body contouring represents a comprehensive surgical approach designed to refine the body’s overall shape and proportions. In some cases, diet and exercise alone may not achieve the desired physical transformation. For these situations, full body contouring procedures combine multiple surgeries to reshape, tighten, and enhance the body’s silhouette.

What Procedures Are Combined with Full Body Contouring?

At the end of your consultation, your surgeon will recommend the most suitable procedures based on your individual needs. Full body contouring surgery can include a combination of:

- Breast lift (with or without implants)

- Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)

- Thigh lift

- Liposuction (fat removal and sculpting)

How Many Sessions Are Required for Full Body Contouring?

In most cases, the procedure is completed in a single session. However, if your surgeon deems it necessary, a second session may be scheduled to achieve optimal results.

When Can Full Body Contouring Be Performed?

Generally, the body needs around one year to fully recover after childbirth. During this period, the breast and abdominal tissues return closer to their original form, and natural slimming and healing processes are completed. If approved by your surgeon, full body contouring is usually recommended after the breastfeeding period has ended.

Techniques

Full Body Contouring After Breastfeeding – What Procedures Are Recommended?

Breast Changes After Breastfeeding

Breasts that become fuller during pregnancy often lose volume and firmness after breastfeeding. As elasticity diminishes, the stretched skin begins to sag. To correct these concerns, breast augmentation and/or a breast lift are commonly performed as part of full body contouring procedures.

If Breast Tissue Is Sufficient

When the patient has enough natural breast tissue, only a breast lift surgery may be necessary. In such cases, the incision is limited to around the areola or vertically along the breast, and scars typically fade over time. If the surgeon determines that breast tissue is insufficient, silicone implants are recommended for optimal volume and shape.

Is Breastfeeding Possible After Surgery?

During full body contouring procedures, the surgeon works closely with the patient. Unless specifically requested otherwise, milk ducts are not cut, which means future breastfeeding remains possible.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) in Full Body Contouring

How Is a Tummy Tuck Performed?

After childbirth, many women experience excessive sagging skin and fat in the abdominal area. The abdominal muscles, which normally provide tension and support for the internal organs, often become stretched and separated. During a tummy tuck, excess skin and fat below the navel (including stretch marks) are removed, and the abdominal muscles are tightened to restore a firmer appearance.

Does the Belly Button Move?

Yes. Since excess skin below the navel is removed and abdominal muscles are tightened, the belly button is repositioned during the procedure.

Can It Be Done After a C-Section?

Yes, full body contouring can be performed after a C-section. However, it is recommended to wait until the body returns to its normal state. During pregnancy, the uterus grows from the size of a pear to the size of a basketball. It takes at least 45 days for the uterus and organs to return to their pre-pregnancy size and position.

Additional Corrective Procedures

Vaginal Rejuvenation After Childbirth

After vaginal delivery, some women may experience deformities of the vaginal area. With modern techniques, sagging or excess tissue of the labia majora and/or labia minora can be treated surgically. Liposuction beneath the vulva and abdominoplasty can reshape and refine the area. In certain cases, fat transfer or dermal fillers are used to restore volume and improve aesthetics.

Why Liposuction Is Included in Full Body Contouring

After childbirth, stubborn fat deposits may remain in areas such as the abdomen, waist, hips, inner and outer thighs, and knees. These areas are particularly resistant to exercise and diet. Liposuction, performed during full body contouring, removes these fat deposits and sculpts the body’s contours.

Note: Liposuction is not a weight loss procedure but a body contouring technique. Using negative-pressure suction, fat is removed while simultaneously reshaping the body.

Anesthesia and Candidacy

- Type of Anesthesia: Full body contouring procedures typically require general anesthesia.

- Who Is a Candidate? This surgery is suitable for patients with sagging in the abdomen, breasts, thighs, or arms after significant weight gain or pregnancy, as well as those with localized stubborn fat. Candidates should not have serious conditions such as uncontrolled diabetes, heart disease, or severe lung problems.
